Up for your consideration is a lovely 1950s Delta Repulsion Start 3/4 Horsepower Single Phase 110 Volt Electric Motor. This motor starts immediately and runs quiet.

This motor has two output shafts and has a factory cast iron cover that can be installed to cover the shaft that is not being used. This motor starts with brushes and will generate high starting torque. Ideal for belt sanders, planers, compressors, table saws, etc. This motor operates at 1750rpm as verified by my Stewart Warner handheld tachometer in the pictures and videos. This motor is very heavy at 70lbs.

It has a 3/4" diameter shaft with 2-3/8" of usable shaft on either end. The base measures 6" x 8-5/8". This motor came from a smoke free, pet free environment.
